Some initial early things I noticed. This post will just be for bugs I believe I have found.

As the title says, here are all the bugs I think I have found so far. Apologies for the lack of screenshots and the like, but all of these were found fairly early game, I suspect none of them will be hard to recreate if needed, and I could share save files as well.  

Also, I was playing the test build, because it's the only one that loaded properly on my Epic Game Store. These were all recorded before the patch that was pushed out about an hour ago. (So Alpha version 0.40, if memory serves). 

1.  I used the Chimeric Biomass, the created tiles are unattached to the existing landmass and have a blank image. Also, planet class only seemed to go up by 1 (to 20) from 19, shouldn’t it have been 21?

2. When I clicked the notification for my very first victorious space battle, the map zoomed far, far away from everything I own. Happened repeatedly (I clicked it multiple times to confirm that I wasn't just a miss-click), I have not check any subsequent battle notifications to see if this continues to happen.

3. I got an event for some sort of Drone bay, and despite successfully intimidating the guy into giving it to me, it has not appeared in my list of available upgrades when leveling up. (Side note, the phrasing on events which give possible upgrades should make it more clear that you need to level up to be able to apply the component, the phrasing seems to me to just imply you'll get the component immediately and automatically).

4. I constructed a treasure hunting ship. It spawned, moved, and then disappeared on the main map. When I advance the turn and it moves, it reappears, and then disappears again when movement is complete. The ship's path is still visible on the map, it’s still in my sidebar in my list of ships, etc. I can even hover over the spot where it should be and the tooltip appears.

5. The sidebar (in the top right hand side of the screen, apologies for not remembering the proper term) for my shipyard is stuck saying I have 3 turns left to build a treasure hunt, but when going into shipyard, shows I’m about to finish building a constructor. It’s possible that the first time I pulled up the shipyard sidebar, I had 3 turns left to finish the treasure hunt mission, I’m not sure. Clarification: the window in the bottom left hand corner, and the window that appears when you bring the shipyard up on the main screen, both agree that i was one turn away from completing my first constructor.

Updates (all from after the patch that was pushed yesterday, same save file, game still presents itself as Alpha .40): 

bug 1- I'm now realizing that Chimeric Biomass adds only one to the planet value because it adds one food production. My bad. 

bug 5 (the shipyard sidebar displaying the wrong work in progress) seems to be fixed after reloading.

Now for new issues noticed:

Lets call this Bug 1, part 2. I got the Chimeric Biomass again, used it on Earth, again, and I could have SWORN it only added one tile, not two.  However, I do not have a save because I save scummed after getting a colony ship blown up, my apologies. Later uses of a Chimer Biomass (on a different turn) did properly add two tiles.

Bug 6. My second starbase, right when built and then assigned to be an economy starbase, was displaying the option for the Xeno Archeology lab, despite having no valid targets in range. I suspect it was 'grabbing' this choice due to the fact that my first starbase, a mining base, did indeed have valid targets for a Xeno Archology lab, but due to a lack of modules I had not built it yet. This option eventually disappeared, I did not notice exactly when, apologies.

Bug 7. The Ysenguard - Multiple bugs. First, it claims to be a survey ship, but it has no survey module. Could this be bacuase I did not have the tech for Survey Modules when I got the event and built the ship?

Ysendguard part 2, it claims to be a prototype, and should be earning XP each turn, but I have not seen earned XP each turn. 
Further info: When going into the detailed ship screen page, and hovering over the components in the top right hand corner, the prototype component is not displaying values properly (text overlapping with icons and fading out, so it's incomplete), and there is a component just labeled 'Component', perhaps that is where my survey component should be?

Bug 8. When in the planet view, about to rush construction on something, the popup on the rush command said I had 1631 credits, the bar at the top of my screen said 1630. Rounding error of some sort causing the discrepancy?

One final issue, maybe a bug, maybe an oversight, maybe it will be implemented soon, maybe working as intended: got the tech which allowed me to build trade freighters, built one, went to send it to another 'player's' planet, and got an error saying I have no trade licenses available. Ouch! I need that income! :P
