Galactic Civilizations IV: EA Patch 1

*** RELEASED 6/14/2021 ***

Note: If you have preordered GC4 you will have two products in your Epic library. The main stable build of the game ("stable" being relative in an Alpha) and the "Test Build" that contains our latest changes that are straight out of development. If you would like to test this patch you can run the Test Build.

Thank you to everyone who has joined our Early Access. As you know Early Access is a time to get feedback and work out issues and improve the game before release. We are hard at work already updating the game to fix bugs and add improvements.

Fixes

  • Mousing over precious metals tile caused rhs exception
  • Added the ability to cancel Sieges
  • Fix places where Sieges end gameplay-wise but not visually
  • Fixed Crashes
  • Fixed anomaly notification descriptions
  • Typo fixes
  • Fixed more crashes
  • Fixed an issue keeping the Baratak from building Armed Shuttles
  • Fixed a broken icon for the Gold Fields planet feature
  • Even more crash fixes

UI

  • Selection/cursor/compass on ship should be the race color (or universal)
  • Changed the color of the Discord/Forum icons on the Main Menu to be more noticeable (come talk to us!)
  • Removed the need to scroll on the planet improvement list
  • Added a Survey alert icon
  • Planet Halos are now colored based on the owning faction

Don't know if this is one of the typos that was corrected, but in the Drengin Prison ship anomaly, it said that getting Drengin colonists would be "short-sited" rather than "short-sighted"

Is the test branch a separate install (game) or does that just install a patch to the stable version? Just wondering if that will install 2 separate copies of GCIV?

The test branch will install a completely seperate version of the game (os it will take double the disk space of just having the main version).
