Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information on your system.

  1. Windows version, please use Winver.exe to get Windows full version numbers.
  2. Curtains version.
  3. System CPU, Intel, AMD or ARM?
  4. Did you install Curtains into its default directory?
  5. What does it says (popup menu) when you "install" skins from Wincustomize.com. All skins tested?
  6. Does the skin that come along with Curtains applies?

Thanks
Basj,

Open Curtains, Go to setting-> Click the "Browse to installed styles folder" -> Check Curtains styles listed in that folder and see if those you just downloaded and installed appear there. And report back.

all the styles  ive installed or  downloaded     the   style folders are they   but all the  style folders  are  empty

All style folders are empty or just those you downloaded and installed are empty? If just those that you downloaded and installed are empty, it might be your security/anti virus software is blocking those files from extracting it.

Thank you,

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

If you have Windows Controlled Folder Access on, turn it off and try again:

Just to test, disable whatever AV app you are using (uninstalling it would be MUCH preferred), reboot - ensureing that Windows Controlled Folder Access is still disabled after.

And a reboot and test again I assume?

Do you have any archive replacement apps for compressing \ decompressing archived files?  For example, this is what one would see if it was the Windows default in the right-click context menu of a file:

If you create a new Windows Administrator (<-- Important) account:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-a-local-user-or-administrator-account-in-windows-10-20de74e0-ac7f-3502-a866-32915af2a34d

And use it instead, does it work then?

Running out of options for you here...

How much space does your hard drive have left?

Does an SFC scan find issues?

https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-sfc-scannow-command-fix-problems-windows-10

Are you using OneDrive, and if so, are the local files actually pathed to it, for example, instead of:

C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\My Games

The path reads something like:

C:\Users\YourUsername\OneDrive\Documents\My Games

SFC  scan  did find issues and repair them

but did not fix  the install styles issues

i do  have  this on my  pc    C:\Users\YourUsername\OneDrive\Documents\My Games

Do you have this folder and what is in it if so (screenshot):

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\Curtains

the empty folders  are the one ive installed  online or from winc

But the others that show there, should show up in 'Local' in Curtains - they do not, correct?

Is the path exactly:

C:\users\public\documents\stardock\curtains\

Or does this one too have OneDrive in it?

that screen shot is from   ------> C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\Curtains

there is no  stardock folders   in    C:\Users\tinbi\OneDrive\Documents
