How do I get to join Alpha?

I am a founding member of GC3, I played for years before release and years after. I very much want to be part of that again with GC4. I do not see info anywhere on how to do that.

1.  According to the FAQ, there will not be a Founder's.  We are all sad about it too.  https://www.galciv4.com/faq

2.  There isn't a lot of information about Alpha, other than it will be going and connected to Early Access.  The only signup of sorts, is the wishlist signup here: https://www.galciv4.com/store

Probably not worth the headache but it is sad that such a thing isn't really possible anymore...  one would think with the competition that Epic is bringing  Steam would be more developer friendly rather than less..

 

Yea, in an ideal world, we'd do that.  But nowdays, running one of these stores is a huge undertaking.  Now, different states demand us to collect taxes for the user (that's a relatively recent change). VAT costs. And lots of other headaches.  Even on our software we use Fast Spring under the covers.

One doesn't run their own store casually. :)

Just a note:

I've submitted my email address on two seperate ocassions under the Sign Me Up tab and haven't had a confirmation email, which the system says I should get. Will these be sent out when Alpha Date is confirmed, or is there something funny with the system?

There currently isn't a plan to offer a Founder's edition like we did for GC3.

Was a GC3 Founder with money in hand, but Epic Games Store is a hard pass for me. I guess I'll pick it up after the exclusivity ends. Best of luck folks!

Same here (GC3 founder ready to support GC4) - was really looking forward to join the Alpha - but the Epic store is a no-go for me. Happy to throw money your way once it is available elsewhere.

Epic game store?  Sorry, hard pass.

I do Steam, GoG, etc., but I won't do Epic.    Once it's open elsewhere, I will get it then.  I waited over a year for rebel galaxy outlaw, so no biggie.

You only "have" to purchase the game from Epic if you're wanting to get in on the alpha/beta.  Otherwise, the game will be available on Steam sometime next year.
