4.1 Stored goods in planets bug

Hi,

Quite a nice bug but suddenly a number of my planets have got huge supplies of stored goods in them. I don't know if this is one of the perks that the AI has which has mistakenly been transferred to me but include a screenshot of a planet with 60ish production which suddenly has >5000 in.

Has anybody else experienced this? I can supply a save but when I re-load the game the oversupply remains so the bug must have occurred previously.

Cheers,

Jon

Actually I've just looked at a previous save and of course these are Iconian planets I captured with loads of extra stored goods due to the triple manufacturing. I hadn't noticed previously because I had nothing to build until I unlocked more terraforming techs.

So nothing to see really.

Cheers,

Yea, last game I noticed that fully build AI planets I'd taken were sitting on a lot of stored goods also.  Not as much as your screengrab, but certainly some of them approaching 20k.

Those planets were clearly suffering from a Crisis of Capitalism...

stored goods go up every time you build something and have leftover production. it goes down every time it would take more than you make in one turn.  i could see a bug like this getting caused by the AI using money to rush stuff every turn and not using the normal construction method. if the numbers were lower, maybe building a ton of cheap buildings to build it up would make sense. I do this myself building space elevators and factories, then after i get a bunch of stored goods spending it on a multi turn building like a colony capital upgrade or terraforming

shipyards work the same way.

a screen shot that shows your turn number could help. err nvm, this game uses stardates and stuff. sorry i play so many games that just use a simple turn #. started game up, if you mouse over the star date it shows your #

Assuming you didn't use any mods or custom factions, your save might help. but we would need the same dlcs as well. on my end i think i have them all, but might need to double check if i am missing any.

Yea, I think the planets I was taking the AI had nothing left to build honestly.  I mean, at some point my planets end up like that too if there's nothing to sink money into..

that is why i asked about turn number. but if your talking 60 production a turn and 5000, that is a lot of turns. 83+, but you'd also have to of been spending production so it would be less than 60 going into storage. i mean repeat aid economy (or maybe strip mine) costs 50, i don't know of anything cheaper, so 10 points overflow? that becomes 500 turns. it is worth looking into and getting better answers about anyways.

if you start factoring production cost of what else is on that planet in the screen shot. which looks like multiple cities at 60 a turn too, and factory upgrades. well all kinds of red flags.

like i said, the only thing i can think of that makes any sense involves a lot of rushing
