WindowFX 6.12 Release Issue Report Thread

With the Window FX 6.12 release today, we are creating this thread so that users can report any observed issues.

Reporting an issue:

Please include the following for anything found:

  • Exact Windows version \ build (winver.exe)
  • Detailed steps to recreate the issue seen
  • Screenshots and videos are very helpful.  Videos can be uploaded to a cloud drive services (GoogleDrive, DropBox, OneDrive, YouTube) and link included in your post.  Images can be directly added.
  • If there are specific apps that Groupy does not work (well) with, please note what apps and their exact versions.  If any app is not common, a link to a trial version would be appreciated.

Window FX 6.12 Changelog

  • Fixes an issue with the much older animations not showing the right height. These are the animations in the list at the very bottom without preview buttons when clicked on (instead having small animated icons there)

Would love to see Compiz Window dragging updated to support higher screen refresh rates. Seems real janky on my 144hz screen. Window FX Style of wobbly window works fine however.

WindowFX 6.12. causes explorer.exe to crash periodically on Windows 10 21H1 (19043.1110).

Just working. Browser chrome, opened folders via explorer and some files, Outlook and other Microsoft Office 2013 apps. Nothing unusual or specific.

Enabling WindowFX causes Fences controlled features to lag, meaning everything on desktop bar moving the cursor, could be the shared control interfering (Win10 Pro 21H1 ver. 19043.1586)
