Questions about SkinStudio

Hi, I just started using WindowBlinds. So I just started using SkinStudio. I made a suitable skin design by taking the echo package from the ready-made packages and changing many things in it, but although I understood the SkinStudio program to a great extent and looked at almost all the settings related to the skin, I could not solve the 8 problems I posted in the photo. I urgently need help solving these problems. Even if you do not know the solution of all the questions, I ask you to tell the solutions of what you know. Thanks to everyone in advance for their help.

Question about SkinStudio

1. The control Panel background is hard coded in windows 10 You can only change the text colors in the section: Change skin colours>Edit windows7/8 part colours>Control panel

2. I'm not sure how you mean "change the shape of the tray menu bar". Can you show what you want it to look like vs how it looks?

3. The arrow itself is controlled by the button text color in the section: Change skin colours>show me the skin defined system colours (drop down menu)>Button text. Be aware that that might change a text color someplace else in your skin which may or may not cause a conflict. The button image underneath the arrow is borrowed from another section (if memory serves it's the toolbar button) The text next to it seems to be hard coded (I have never discovered any way to change it anyway).

4. The taskmanager section is something I've never tweaked, but it seems to match the colors in the section: Change skin colours>Edit windows7/8 part colours>Task manager 2 -win8 (dropdown menu).

5. I'm not sure I understand what you want without context. Do you want no transparency around the image (blank canvas), or none on the frame itself?

6. Sorry I don't have any experience skinning for Chrome because I don't use it personally.

7. Looks like a margin issue. I would try to find a skin with similar scrollbars and copy the settings.

8. The white background is, I believe, the window background color in the section: Change skin colours>show me the skin defined system colours (drop down menu)>Window background. The black part should be the button face color in the same section.

Note, I do get confused sometimes so hopefully someone will correct me if I have made any mistakes.

Thanks for your answer.

Your answers to questions 1 and 4 provided a solution. I am still waiting for the answers to the questions 2, 3, 5, 6 and 8 other than these questions. In addition, I am also curious about the 7th question.

What I mean in question 2 is that the menu that opens when I press the expander is not in a pointed structure as you can see in the photo, but in the default state with a pointed edge, I ask how we change the ovality of these edges.

The answer to the 3rd question is normally correct, but it probably did not work for me, it is probably linked to another variable. How do we change this variable?

In question 5, I want to have a rounded corner at the bottom of the window like the top, but I want the transparency effect to be only at the top, I want the bottom side to be in a fixed color without tranparency effects.

The answer to the 8th question unfortunately did not work for me, in fact, I have already adjusted the color of such windows from where you set it, and it is already black, but when I try to change the extension of a file, the warning window is still white.

Thanks again for your answer. I keep waiting for answers to other problems.

Yes, I see what section you are talking about now. The menu "flyout" on the expander button is an odd one. The graphics are controlled from the non captioned window edge in the Edit UIS2 frames section. It's a very restrictive section that does not support transparency. Your only option here is a square shape and windows will draw on the stroke and shadows for you.

This is how the section seems to work for me

If I understand you question correctly: The transparency of the window frame is 100% connected to the graphic image used. If you want a solid frame it has to be opaque and not transparent.

I just did a test by doing what you did: change the extension of a file and you are quite correct I got the same white background in the system warning dialog. Strange that it doesn't act like the other dialog boxes in the rest of the system! It must be also hard coded since there is no reason it should be showing white.

Take a look at this post I did a while back on some of the quirky skinning issues in windows 10.

7. you probably don\t have the correct number of scroll bar graphics, normally its 3 but skinstudio is set to 4 images default.

Thanks for your 2of3 answer.

Thanks to your 2of3 answers, I solved problems 2, 3 and 5 too. Currently, issues 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 have been resolved.

8. I have observed that the problem also occurs when deleting a large file, without throwing it in the trash.

I can't wait to look at the post of 2of3 :)

Thanks Vampothika for your reply.

I checked the number of images and I saw that it is 3 as you said, so there is no error in the number of images. So I could not solve the problem.

I am waiting for solution suggestions for other problems.

Thanks again for your answers.

There is something I want to add. While dealing with these issues, I discovered two more problem.

1) You may know that application windows are grouped when the same application is open more than once. The problem is that the screens that appear when mouseover of this grouping look distorted backgrounds. I could not find how to change this background structure.

2) Another problem is that on the transfer screen that appears during file transfer from one place to another, the background of this screen also appears white, as can be seen in the photo.

I am waiting for your help in this matter too :)

Scrollbars fixed.|-)

I noticed another issue but didn't fix it.  Your progress bars  block and border are the wrong way around.

They must be:

horizontal for horizontal.

vertical for vertical.

You can go to the DIAMOND skin for reference and use those skin parts if you are not sure. (we all use diamond when we make a new skin)

Thank you very much.

However I want to transparent scrollbar without arrow and background with only drag bar as Mac OS.

How can I do? or any way to do it?

Vamps, do you still skin the vert progress bar? I stopped ages ago. I may be wrong, but when was the last time you saw a vertical progress bar in use anywhere?

Just make the scrollbar backgrounds a solid color, same as explorer background color is all. Make them as a .bmp, really easy.

Same as me (unless I'm doing something "fancy")

Also if you dont want arrows just do a solid color (the same color as your background color) Make sure you check the glyph section on the scroll arrows. I think diamond has that skinned (I've been saying like forever that sks needs a new skin as a starter. There is so much outdated crap there and who TF would start out a skin with 3 complete substyles!)

Make sense, I did what you said.

If I understood, we have not any solution to white background on some parts of massage or warning screen.

Additionally, I found the solution of grouped apps window.

This mean, we have the last and very important question.

Google Chrome issue.

I am waiting of your help again. How can I apply theme to Google Chrome?

Thanks again for all.

I would suggest that you create a new post in the windowblinds section asking for help. Something along the lines of "Windowblinds doesn't skin Chrome correctly". More people will be aware of your problem that way since there are only a few people who are paying attention to this post.
