Stuck on Setting up Players

I havent played in quite sometime, but was looking to get back into the game and it will allow me to customize my galaxy, opponents, etc. And then when I hit start, it just hangs on the "Setting up Players..." Ive gone through all sections of the FAQ and updated everything that needs updating and Im stuck. I have played on this same machine around 17 hours thus far, so obviously something newer is interfering.  Below is debug file and system specs

Anothe thing could be custom races built back then do not jive with requierments now.

Appreciate the replies but nothing worked.  Ive moved on to another game that does work.  Ive spent way too much time trying to fix this.
