Icons not changing even when they show correct in IconPackager

Hello,

Sorry to be a pest, but I'm having a problem with a new package I created.  I setup all the icons the way I wanted in IconPackager, then applied them.  Two icons in the Start Menu refuse to change to the new ones I set up.  They show correctly in IconPackager, and the saved icon package has the correct icons also.  But no matter what I do, they won't change in the start menu.  I also tried resetting the icon cache

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know what Icons that not changing? And does it change with others IconPack? Also need to know more on your system.

  1. Windows version, please use Winver.exe to get full Windows version numbers.
  2. Iconpackager version.

Yes, it's happening on other packages as well.  In the start menu, it's the control panel icon and the User Files icon.  I'm using a windows 7 style start menu from Open Shell.  They would change just fine before, but this last time I tried changing them, it didn't work on those two icons.

I'm using the latest version of Windows 10, version 20H2.  I'm using IconPackager version 10.03

Okay, I am not sure if IconPackager work with Open Shell Start Menu. Its more compatible with Stardock's Start10.

BTW does Control Panel icons changed in Window Explorer?

Yes, it did work in Windows Explorer.  I just installed Start10 and sure enough, the icons show up correctly there  :)  Thank you for your help!
