CursorFX 2.16 : Not able to change to new theme/style

Bug applying new cursors with big size 3mb+

For example, I was trying to change to this cursor:  https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/cursorfx/3301/

When I double click on the downloaded ultama.cursoffx file, CursorFX thought for few seconds and it went back my previous cursor theme. I believe this only happens on cursorfx file with 3mb+ size.

I have other examples that I can't use these cursor themes from WinCustomize site:
"As the World Turns", "Strom Bringer", "Model 6IX"

I tried deleting the cached cursorfx files in UserProfile. It didn't help.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I have tested that cursor and yes, it don't seem to be loaded into CursorFX V2.16. But it load just fine with CursorFX V4. I believe all those cursors you've listed came from the same Author. So I think it best to let him know that some of his cursors don't work with CursorFX V2.16. He should be able help on that. I have also tried out several cursors from other authors uploaded recently. And their Cursors load okay on CursorFX V2.16.

Don't put it off on me. Am I suppose to downgrade to v2 so everybody can use my cursors? If so what is the point of having v4. What do other people do? Anybody can chime in here.

Well, as an Author of skin myself. For me, I have two choices. One, put on a note on my skin description if my skin only work for which version of the application. or Second, try to work out if my work not working on that version of the application and adjust my work accordingly.

Thank you,

See that Basj? That's the solution. Ya gotta push the product not put un needed pressure on the skinners.

I think I accidently gave you a karma, you can keep it.
