No sound at all

Hello ,

 

unfortunately I have no sound anymore when starting and playing Ashes of the Singularity.
This was working weeks before – when I started the game yesterday, there was no sound at all.
All other Steam games are working great.

 

I already tried following steps:

 

·         Reinstalling the game

 

·         Reinstalling the NVIDIA Driver

 

·         Run game in safe mode

 

·         Checked the AUDIO settings

Volume_Environmental=50
Volume_Effect=75

Volume_Voice=50

 

 

 

BTW: When I validate the installed data, I get the message that one file has an error and was changed.

 

If I check the files again -  I also get this message again…

 

 

 

Is there anything you can recommend to get back the sound?

Have you confirmed this is an issue only with Ashes? Do other games have their sound work fine?

Yes - I have ~20 other games from steam... they all work fine. Only Ashes has no sound at all...

Can you try checking Windows volume mixer whilst Ashes is launched? Something might have turned it all the way down.

To fix no sound, does no matter if you have already directx installed, you must install it again to fix no sound problem. That helped - sound is back. :)
