As you can see on the picture below, there is a 1px transparent border on each windows, it seems especially stronger on system apps (you can see the My phone app on the picture).

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

What app in particular and please detail what settings are required to reproduce it.

Hello, this happens on active windows (on inactive ones too, but not as visible - because the shadow is not so strong), it occurs on every window but it is less noticeable on dark backgrounds.
I tried it on another Windows 10 system, it makes the same bug. It's as if the shadow is shifted 1px from the edge of the window. Note: it doesn't do it if the system preferences are set with the option "apply accent color on title bar and window borders" (But this is not an option I'm interested in).

As you can see on the different windows below, it is mostly present here on the active (the file explorer), slightly less on the inactive on the left (mail). On the right, the ShadowFX window doesn't have this problem, and for Edge, behind it, it depends sometimes.

For your information, ShadowFX is set on custom shadow with 40px at the bottom, 20px asides and 5px on top. Transparency is set to 100%, Blur Level on 30% and with a factor of 10px...

Hi again,
I tried on another system, the bug occurs too. It seems to be a random case depending on whether your window has a border or not...

I very like ShadowFX, but there is a 1 px gap for inactive windows.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information on your system.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? And its version numbers please. Use Winver.exe to get full version numbers.
  2. ShadoxFx version.

Thanks

I tested ShadowFX 1.21 on my Windows 10 system, and I don't see the issue you mentioned. Is the issue happen on all/any application? Does it happen to Windows Explorer?

Thank you,

All applications. Maybe it's time to format C:

What scale factor is your display set to?

VM clean Windows 10

Size bar 10 px, Transparency 100%, Blur level 0%, Factor 2 px

1920x1200, scale 150%

I use Windows Magnifier, and there is 1px gap with foreground and background windows.
