[MOD] Quieter Shipyard Anchor Sound

The anchor sound for shipyards is much louder than other sounds, especially the unanchor sound.  There have been complaints about this for years, but the sound is still the same.  I have finally found a way to "fix" this.

I found a file that defines what sounds to use for some of the sounds.  The anchor sound is in the file.  There are other sounds listed for other situations, so I experimented with different sounds until I found one that is quieter and seems like a reasonable sound for anchoring a shipyard.

I made a mod that changes the sound to the quieter one.  I don't know if it works in existing games or not.  It's worth trying if you have a game going.  It works in new games.  I use it all the time.

Thanks! This is great! Could you please point me to a resource that explains how to use this file? Where/what to replace, etc? I apologize for not knowing how to do this, but I'm willing to learn. I looked up modding on this site but it only shows how to mod a civilization. 

Obviously, I am new to modding, so I really appreciate your kind assistance! BTW, I am really loving this game and I have most of the DLC.

I'd like to use your same method to replace the sound that is played when you select an artifact building on a planet. Crazy loud!

I really appreciate your help! I wrote to Stardock and to Miles Sound System asking how to do it or if I need to buy a program to do it, but no reply yet.

There's a writeup on using mods in the wiki here that might help. The first paragraph explains where to put the mod files, depending on which version of the game you have.
