Curtains 1.11 (Release) Issue Report Thread

With the release of Curtains 1.11, we are creating this thread so that users can report any observed issues.  

Obtaining Curtains 1.11:

Object Desktop members can get Curtains 1.11 from within Object Desktop Manager

Individual purchases (as well as Object Desktop Members) can also be obtained from your an account page:

Reporting an issue:

Please include the following for anything found:

  • Exact Windows version \ build (winver.exe)
  • Detailed steps to recreate the issue seen
  • Screenshots and videos are very helpful.  Videos can be uploaded to a cloud drive services (GoogleDrive, DropBox, OneDrive, YouTube) and links included in your post.  Images can be directly added.
  • If there are specific apps that Curtains does not work (well) with, please note what apps and their exact versions.  If any app is not common, a link to a trial version would be appreciated.

Note: For any issue reproducible by many (more than one), it is likely that a new thread will be created for it or clients will be directed to one that already exists.

Changelog for Curtains 1.11

  • When picking edit on a style if you press escape or the close button in the titlebar it aborts the edit
  • Fixed issue not seeing shadows when creating modified skins when using a language which uses Unicode characters

Windows 10 1909 Curtains 1.11 (also happens on 1.10), text shadows on titlebar shift the text by the blur amount.

Using a fresh copy of Fluent Graphite to demonstrate. No other changes to Fluent Graphite were made. https://i.imgur.com/D5UY0Sv.mp4

Whilst it is normal that text has to shift right when you add blur because nothing can render left of the default text position and a blurred shadow has to have space around the text, the behaviour once you set blur to 8 is clearly not intended.

Hello. After installing Curtains, when Windows starts (reboots), the system sound is played - Windows Background.wav. This is normal? Thanks for the answer.

Curtains shouldn't have any impact on any sounds played when you start your computer.

And yet. This sound is there. If you turn off the Stardock Curtains Service and restart your computer, there is no sound. And that means the reason in Curtains
