GalCiv3 No ships, planets or or other graphic icons on large maps

| I trying to figure out how to fix the issue of why I can not start a new game on map larger than Gigantic and have the ships, planets and other graphical icons show up. I can start a game on gigantic with 16 players but no more, and still have the icons/graphics show. So in other words I get a blank map on larger maps with more players. The game does not crash to desktop, but yet I can not see anything other then a blank map.
