This version does not apply Titlebar and Taskbar colors.  It doesn't matter what I change it to, it remains the same, even after exiting and reentering the Curtains configuration app.  It has the correct color selected but refuses to apply it.

Also, does not apply custom min/max/close buttons.  Just getting the same _ box and X for all styles.

Not sure if it's a bug or a limitation within Windows, but I've noticed this:

I've enabled Background blur for Windows Explorer and it works as expected. However, the blur effect doesn't work if the explorer is invoked by another program as a "Save as dialog" (for example with any browser or Microsoft Word). In those cases, the explorer shows its regular look without having any blur applied to it.

I'm on Windows 10 Build 19041.508

This is normal.  File open / save dialogs do not get blur effects.

That fixed it.

I updated via the Object Desktop a day or two ago. This afternoon there was a notification on my desktop saying there was an update which i then installed. They were both for the release build of 1.1 supposedly. Was there a second "final" build?

Thank you for continually updating Curtains. I like the program so far.

Small issue. If a web browser (google chrome or the new edge) is opened by another program (i.e. by the OS if you click a web link in settings), the title bar will not recolor. Closing and reopening the window fixes the color.

I'm using Windows 10 Version 2004, Build 19041.508.

I'm updated to Curtains 1.10 today and the issue still persists (had it since 1.0).

Also is title bar blur a planned feature? I've seen many people request it. The only program (from what I can tell) that can do this right now is Aero Glass (https://www.glass8.eu/). That program is rarely updated and does not work for Windows 10 2004+. If it were to be added and advertised, I feel you could get a lot more traction with Curtains.

Hi,

The taskbar is now black when using the 'Splash Green' theme. Both for Light and Dark mode.

Latest release, latest Windows 10.

This behaviour was not seen on the previous Curtains releases, it used to green-grey when in Light mode

Tried everything I could think of in the theme editor but haven't made it go back to the old look.

Thanks

Please check Horizontal taskbar advance option -> Invert image in light mode is "Enabled".

Hi Basj, thanks for the quick response.

I have checked and that setting is enabled.

The taskbar is not correct in either light or dark mode. It is pure black in both.

Is the black taskbar happened on other styles too? and please also check your "More Style settings"

and Sometimes you just need to restart your system or at least restart Explorer.exe. If that still fail try the purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here :  https://forums.stardock.com/500728/curtains-support-faq#CurtainsPurge . Just make sure to reboot after the purge and again after the re-installation. Retest it and report back.

Hi Basj,

All the other styles work as expected, although I do believe that they all use solid images for taskbar-horiz.png, whereas "Splash Green' uses an transparent image. I think this is part of the issue.

If I remove the image altogether, the taskbar is black.

It is also like this for other themes:

I think that if there is no taskbar-horiz.png loaded, it should display a normal Windows 10 taskbar. In my case it shows a solid black one.

I have done a full uninstall and reinstall. Will try the Purge later and let you know if that fixes it.

My "Simplic Mod" https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/curtains/68/  is using semi-transparent image for my taskbar see if you still see the black taskbar with it. And report back.

Basj,

I tried your theme (very nice btw) and that worked fine. Obviously something else is at play. I tried a fresh install on a different computer and that had the same issue with the black taskbar when using Splash Green.

Seems like Curtains 1.10 has changed some sort of behaviour.

I got around the whole issue by creating a light taskbar (taskbar-horiz-light.png) that had a pure white layer behind at 85% opacity. That seems to have fixed the issue.

Thanks for your help,

Richard

The taskbar is now black when using the 'Splash Green' theme.

If you're using Start10, you might double-check its taskbar transparency setting:
