Installer freezes

While installing the trial of curtains the installer reaches the copy files portion but hangs when copying the Stardock.ApplicationServices.dll library. After a 5 minute wait I have to force close the installer. 

Win 10 Pro x64 2004

I tried installing on my "Windows to go" drive and it went through. Also to note I installed WindowFX and Start10 and both work fine.

EDIT 2

Turns out I had to disable Controlled folders and Real Time protection in Windows Security. Not sure why I have to do that for Curtains but not other stardock products. Anyway on to testing I'm liking what I see so far
