Fixed an issue with some Univeral apps where the titlebar text did not get updated when the file being viewed is changed.

Still not seeing the filename on the initial image opened in Photos, sometimes I see it flash up for about a quarter second then disappear, but the names seem to be working good as you scroll through them which was the bigger problem.

Thanks for the update

Thats a bug in the app itself.  If you look at the taskbar thumbnail you will find it is called Photos incorrectly at the same time.

I'm getting Error Code 123 during installation of Curtains to Win10 ver 1909 build 18363.959... Made 3 attempts... What's wrong?

Why does it apply Widows default theme during installation and every time I start Curtains from the shortcut? Please don't ask me to purge & re-install. I've tried that three times already and no change.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Are you installing via ObjectDesktop Manager?

Thanks

Settings window paints solid accent color & is unresponsive - can't be moved/dragged & TB buttons inactive.  Can only close using taskbar button right click.  Same with every style I choose.

I'm not quite sure that we're talking about the same thing, and I'm not that worried about it, but in case it comes up again here's what I'm seeing.  I'm just double-clicking on an image file from within Explorer to open it up / preview it here , first in Win10 Default, then WindowBlinds, then Curtains. The filename is absent in Curtains:

Thanks.

Yes, the app is incorrectly setting the titlebar text.  If you mouseover the taskbar button for it you will see when it is wrong it is called Photos rather than including the full path.

Did this issue happen in prior versions of Curtains?

and have you run a WB skin in this windows session (I.e. since last login)

It looks like calc thinks it is very small and has put everything at the top of the window.

That should not happen.

What shortcut are you running?

And to be clear what do you mean by applying the Windows default theme?  Are you saying the wallpaper changes as well, or a colour scheme or?

I use the shortcut made by the Stardock installer. The default Windows theme is applied (MS Windows original look) and the wb I have running is removed, but the wallpaper does not change nor does the accent color. And Curtains is not running in the systray so I have to start it once more. After I start Curtains again, everything seems to function as expected.

Didn't really do a shakedown with the beta, Neil, but seeing exact same behavior with 1.0 on the rig I'm replying on (1.0 on this laptop, 1.01 is on my desktop from which the above reply was posted).  I still have the beta installer, could revert to that if it would help.  Notepad is unaffected.  Those are the only two universal apps I use.

(Sidebar - in classic Stardock fashion, the file name of the 1.01 installer is exactly the same as the 1.0  installer X| )

WB service is running but no skin applied since login, systray icon not present.  Running Start10.

Thanks, Neil.

Noticed one little difference between 1.0 & 1.01 just now after a restart.  The settings app window flashes the accent color on first launch then displays & behaves normally on 1.0 until closed & relaunched when it stays solid accent color & is non-responsive, same with multiple relaunch attempts.  In 1.01, the Settings window is painted solid accent color & unresponsive on initial & all subsequent launches.  FWIW

1.01 just auto-prompted that a new version is available, but there isn't one. Just FYI.

Did you manually prompt it or did it do it on its own?  Has it happened since?  If it happens again, could you post a screenshot of it?

For me, it prompted on its own. I had already manually installed the latest version thru the Object Desktop tool in the systray. 2 or 3 days ago, there was a prompt to install an update. I thought it was something newer that 1.01 but it was the same update i had already installed.

Same here.  Check for Updates Automatically was enabled by default.  Happened only once so far.

Issue persists with 2004 update, but now Calc won't paint correctly on subsequent relaunch.  Both Calc & Settings windows paint solid accent color and are unresponsive.  Keep having fun, Neil.|-)

Unfortunately we do not seem to have any way to reproduce this.

I would recommend you disable the option in Curtains to not apply styles to universal apps.

Unchecking 'Apply styles to compatible Windows Universal applications' fixed it.

Thanks, Neil.

Curtains 1.01
Windows 10 2004 (OS Build 19041.388)

I'm getting the same thing. When I click on Curtains.exe it disables WB and applies Windows Default theme and when I click on it again the Curtains config window opens. When I click on a Curtains theme I DL it applies the Windows default theme with WB applied and I have to open Curtains config to apply the theme.

There is no curtains.exe file.

Which file are you running?

It is not possible to apply a curtains theme from outside of the config UI.  Double clicking on them will simply install them and open the config UI.

Sorry Neil it's CurtainsConfig.exe. When I click on this with WB loaded, Windows default theme is loaded. I have to click on CurtainsConfig.exe again to bring up the Config screen.

Clicking on a curtains theme from the desktop will bring up the config screen if WB is not loaded. If WB is loaded at the time it will apply Windows default theme then I have to click on CurtainsConfig.exe to bring up the config window.
