If I remember right this is due to the way the game scales for your hardware.

Please don't post email addresses on the forums.

Larger maps are blocked on systems that don't meet the requirements for them.

You can bypass it with the /NoMinSpec command.

THANKS + + ,  SchismNavigator & Rhonin_the_wizard,

For replying, & the Good Advice Not to post email address.

/NoMinSpec did'nt work :((

looking @ the specs: 4 core , 8G RAM, Nvidia card, what do i upgrade?

fyi, i then tried to validate steam files : "4 files failed to validate and will be reacquired"

tried to revalidate, multiple times followed by restarting  the computer, with the same message.

should i reload the game - and how do i do that? Pls advice if that is a possible option.

Does Steam allow me to play my games (in my library) on another computer?

THANKS for Your Kind Attention ! !

What didn't work about /NoMinSpec? Did you write it exactly like that?

Your systems processor is alright, it's the RAM that would hold it back. Make sure your motherboard can actually support more before deciding to upgrade.

The recommend specifications for the largest map size is 32GB RAM and 8 cores.

It's normal to have some files changed, they are modified based on your system. So when validating to Steam it appears that they are different.

Your Steam games are tied to your account, not hardware. You can play them on any system you are logged in on.

Hi Rhonin_the_wizard

THANKS for replying!!

i typed in /NoMinSpec as instructed by You.

It didn't work.

Every game i start is on a medium size galaxy with stars, artifacts and resourses at the exact same location.

i wil try to load steam on another computer and try to launch GC3...

Make sure you don't have a map loaded. Press the X next to the map name.
