says they will give you tech but they dont give tech

Branyak event needs to be fixed, when you take the pragmatic path it says you will receive techs but you dont get any techs for protecting them.

It was different before they changed minors. I wouldn't mind seeing it fixed. I think it was crusades when they changed minors where you cant communicate with them.
