Animated Cursors in CursorFX 4

How to Create Animated Cursors

I am new to CursorFX. Evidently it has been around for quite awhile. A lot of the cursor sets on WinCustomize date back to the early 2000's and refer to CursorXP. From what I have been able to find, there used to be an app included with CursorXP called AniUtil.exe which created png strips from individual png files. I have not been able to locate this app anywhere. I have downloaded and tried several apps which claim to create png strips, but none of the results display properly in CursorFX or the app is too complicated to use.

Does Stardock intend to provide an app to create png strips for cursor animation in the near future, or can you point me to a location where I can download AniUtil?

I have created a really nice cursor set which I am using, but I would really like to animate the "Working in Background" and "Busy" cursors.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

I have forwarded your report to the Stardock support team for their review and recommendations.

Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates.

We really do appreciate your feedback, thanks.

I actually found a copy of AniUtil and it is so easy! You should definitely include this small app with CursorFX 4.

Hi, is it okay to ask for the copy too? I have posted this same issue here but got no helpful response.

If you have all the images for the animation (Placed properly in each) THIS app is Killer "animstrip"  ;)

Very Nice! I like the preview pane. Works very well and simple to use.

They claim it's included with CursorFX. IT'S NOT. They should stop that.

Actually, the app that neone6 recommends above "animstrip" is way better than "AniUtil." He has provided a link in his post.

I got the same unfortunately.

Sounds like whoever was able to get it found it very useful.
