Flickering Issue ( Taskbar ) with wobbly windows

Hi

A while ago I made this post.

https://forums.stardock.com/486410/page/1/#3744075

Since then today I tested the wobbly windows thing again and

started to investigate the issue a bit more and made a new video.

As you can see it doesn't flicker everywhere.

There is an area that triggers the flickering.

If I don't turn on that inactive window darken thing it's barely noticable.

But it's still there and sucking up performance.

Symptoms ( I updated this list to include everything I found out ): -----------------------

- Flickering of taskbar and potentially fences and desktop icons.

- When I'm using a window blinds skin only taskbar flickers ( or mostly ).

- When using windows default theme taskbar, fences and desktop icons flicker.

- It's happening with explorer and most programs.

- It doesn't happen with taskmanager and other system windows.

- I discovered an area that when a window is dragged through triggers the flickering.

-> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXzAJh4skjU

- The size of the area is affected by the size of the dragged window.

- If you keep making a window smaller at some point the area disappears.

- The area is always in the top-half of the screen ( So, usually when testing you're gonna be dragging the window through that area ).

I have always had this issue. Especially when the window I'm moving is large.  I get around it by rolling up the window, moving it, then unroll.

I know, defeats the purpose, eh?

You are right. The size of this area changes with the window size. I just tested it.

If I make a window that triggers this flickering small enough the flickering disappears at some point.

And again it only happens with the wobbly windows effect.

The area is always somehwere in the top half of the screen and its size seems to change with the size of the dragged window.

Yeah, it does. XP

I want this to work.

EDIT:

Ok, so, when I use windowblinds skins only the taskbar flickers.

If I use windows default skin taskbar, fences and desktop icons flicker but it has that same magic area.

PS:

As I said in the other thread. I've had this problem for ages and I upgraded my PC and reinstalled windows inbetween.

I really doubt this is a different software.

Sorry for double post but wanted to make sure someone is gonna see this.

I made another rather lenghty video with some tests.

Another feature I tested here is the inactive window darkening with blur and seriously it fucks everything up pretty hard. XP

If you watch the hole thing hopefully it might give you some ideas what's happening.

Somehow inactive windows seem to be drawn where they don't belong and a lot of refreshing going on.

Only thing I could imagine at this point is a general incompatibility with AMD or something.
