As much as I usually defer from using it, I have installed the new ObjectDesktopManager.   So far the only issue I have is that it runs at startup, even though I have set it not to do so.

Am I missing something, or is it uninstall time yet again?

Ok, nothing?  I guess I can uninstall it again.  Never really liked it anyway.

It launches itself when 'Check for Updates' is turned on.

As Jeff said.  Uncheck *Silently install new software (if applicable)* and see if it goes away.  Mine was also starting up at the beginning but now, with that option unticked, it doesn't anymore.  Hopefully it works for you as well ?
