WC Forum unavailable [SOLVED]

https://forums.wincustomize.com/

When trying to access forums via Wincustomize, I have been getting this page (screenshot) for the last days.
Happens with all the big browsers (Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge & Opera). This happens only when I'm logged in and clearing cookies & logging out gets me to the Wincustomize forums, but as soon as attempting to log in, I get the screen above. Not a big deal, since I can access the forums at forums.stardock.com. Microsoft Edge is 100% unmodified, so no blockers or plugins are causing this.

That's odd.  It works here but I'm not sure what the heck it would be.

Just tested this on my tablet, and same thing happens there.

A while ago, things started to happen at WC like the navigation bar moved down covering the top of the galleries (other thread). That seems to have been fixed, and maybe that's when this new error was introduced. Other things that come to mind is the new VAT tax in Norway making everything from Stardock & Wincustomize 25% more expensive than the rest of the world. Clicking on a premium skin now changes the currency to Euros and raise the price an additional 25%. Mabe there's a script error with the Fastspring checkout module since it detects my location when logging in?

I can concur for all the above that Yrgal posted.  I can't access the forums from WinCustomize either, getting the gremlin thing.  And the price goes up as well.  When clicking on a Premium Skin, the currency goes from $5.95 (roughly 58SEK according to XE.com) to 75SEK (roughly $7.66).  So that's two Nordic countries, me being from Sweden.  Although I get it in Swedish Currency, not Euro as Yrgal.

Out of curiousity, what is the URL shown in the browser when you are getting the 404?

I don't think Stardock has no control over that, I think it's your country doing it. :-(

Yeah, it's the extra Tax we get for buying things online from outside of the EU if I remember things right.  Was mostly in jest though.

Or more than likely, the third party, FastSpring, that handles the transactions for Stardock. They are the ones changing the currency for me to €uro and there is clearly no need for that when using PayPal other than FastSpring charging an exchange fee.

Sales between USA and many other countries (mostly EU) required that a Value-Added Tax (VAT) be collected.  We had not been collecting them in the past but we are required to do so.  Because of the high costs of administering VAT and other reasons is why we switched over to using FastSpring to facilating our sales.

So, with VAT, State Sales Tax and Currency Exchange rates, the prices will vary from Country to Country and State to State.
