RAM question
Hi, I'm wondering if Ashes will use more than 16Gb of RAM on large maps with many players and units. I'm building a computer and wondering if I should get 32Gb or just 16.

Get 32 GB. The answer to if you should get more RAM is always to get more.
What he said...;)
Heh, one of those classic questions. My buddy and I both have 32GBs in our systems and we have never seen Ashes use all of it, hovers around 12GB on an enourmosue map with 12 painful computers and the 2 of us with massive armies.
The answer to your question is complicated, so for a gigabyte board that uses a T topology then 4 sticks is a great way to go, start with a good quality 2 stick kit and when you have more money add the second two. If your motherboard doesn't use T topology then you want the two stick 32G kit to start with. My point is that there a couple of factors to consider and you don't want to sacrifice too much memory performance for capacity since Ashes doesn't actually need 32GBs. If money is not a problem then definitely rock 32GBs, going 4x8 on T topology and 2x16 on daisy chain. You an good this, Der Bauer (Actual hardware Overclocking) on YouTube covers this on many motherboards.
It depends on how many opponents you want to have. Considering I usually play single human vs. single AI. even 8 GB is enough for me.
More Ram is always better and if you want to play with the Map Editor, them more Ram is a Must!
