Don't try to change the main Nexus executable, that will trigger a software protection error, even on the free version of Nexus, IIRC - good for preventing malware from tampering with the exe.

This said, you can change the weather icons (just replace the icons in C:\Users\Public\Documents\WinStep\Weather\Icons1\ with your own customized versions and then change the weather module style) but not the font used for the embedded temperature, which is hard coded.

Yeah I knew you could change the icons, but did not know about the protection error thank you. yeah i read a bunch on the nexus forums on the hard coded font issue which can be a pain but what can you do.

Well it seems this got off topic, but nice touch with the bold you really know how to make people feel welcome around here! This started when a member said something about the weather docklet and nothing about my theme which I know is not up most alley, but I am doing this skin for me and if others like it great if not ole well. I can also see why anyone new trying to do themes here get discourage because of all the negativity but this is just from what I have read in the forums lately. I came here to try a different approach to theme building to what I was use to for personal growth on my theming ability. Thanks for your criticism on my graphics it will be noted and considered. 

What I said was Constructive... I have skinned for quite some time now and know the pitfalls. There was no negativity intended. -Absolutely, skin for yourself, that's the best !   

Your comment does not come off as constructive, not one little bit, even if that is what you intended. 

This is why I don't really comment much online on people work/art/upload/wip etc etc. A lot of time I get misunderstood too..  

 

Well, I don't feel that it is difficult to give constructive criticism in a way that does not sound like you are insulting someone but if you can't then you are doing the right thing.

Sometime, silence is also criticism. That why there is such term as Silent Majority.  

I do honestly think that what neon6 said was what was needed to be said. No more or no less. That's what I would want to hear. Advice from a Master Skinner. For free.

Chuck, I like you, I always have but with all due respect, there is a proper and improper way of giving constructive criticism. One proper way would be to send a pm to the person who you feel their graphics need improving and offer suggestions on how to improve the graphics, when someone makes a blanket statement with no explanation or willingness to help, it comes across as being condescending.
That is the way I feel and there are at least 4 people who disagree with me so once again I will just shut up and tolerate being the odd man out. 

Really... AGAIN !? People, c'mon.

So should we allow to give you our constructive criticism on your "ZONA" skin?! Or it's only for Master skinners who has that kind of privilege to do so?? I am so confused.

If you are talking about my comments,then there is one misunderstanding. I think I said "wow. That's really a nice skin if the weather icon does match entire suite that would be better." which meant the skin is really nice done if weather icons does match entire suite you did (which beautifully made) it would be better/great,but if not,that's fine/great too. It's your works. Hope I did clarify the comments I made.
