Ads are getting to me

Sick of the ads - Ad Block

I understand the need to generate revenue. The problem as I see it is that sites that do not have a paywall are free to browse yet they force you to see ads. If you have an adblock running on your browser you either turn it off or you can't see the site. I have adblock for a reason! I DON'T WANT TO SEE FRIGGIN ADS! These site are supposed to be free to browse but in reality they are not.

The number of sites that I can go on are getting less and less because of this friggin ad and ad blocking thing.

Either make it a pay site or let people go on as they like.

It's getting to the point that browsing the internet is no fun at all anymore.

Ya I could do without ads.  I have a pretty good mental filter though, I'm pretty blind to a lot of them.  Occasionally catch myself looking at one of those "news story headlines" that I already know is click-bait.

I do peruse a lot of informational sites though, I couldn't possibly pay subscriptions on all of them.  When a familiar site gets cranky about my adblocker, I either turn it off or decide I don't want to know that bad.

My biggest issue with ads is I'm not confident anyone can keep malware out of them.

My complaint with ads is that when you close an ad and click "It's Not Relevant" it doesn't seem to make any difference. The website cycles through the same 3-4 ads regardless.

If I don't log in, I don't get any adds??  Plus Stardock refuses to acknowledge I paid for my WinCustomize subscription and will not respond to any emails I send.

Check your stardock account first here: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products.  Just scroll down to your Wincustomize Subscription and it will show how many days you have.

If there's a problem with that then send an email to [email protected] with your purchase issue.

If you have a valid subscription and are still seeing adds then make sure you are logged in.

That's my strategy.... simply I just do not go there.  I hate ads, Period.  If I want or need something I go to the stores and see for myself what's out there.  I do read tech articles to keep up with the times, but it's at my own leisure when I want to check things out.  I just do not need advertising thrust down my throat everywhere I turn, so now I simply turn off and walk on by.
