Stardock products ask for code every now and again

I just saw a forum thread from 2014 talking about Fences asking for activation code out of the blue. Here we are, nearly 5 years later, and the problem still exists!!! I was asked for a Groupy activation code and then a minute later was asked for Fences 3 activation code.

I have owned these titles for nearly a year now, and this is the second time. I do not understand how months of normal use a program can suddenly need an activation code entered! I also tried entering the code from my email receipt and the program said it was an invalid code! You then emailed me the code - that was EXACTLY the same as what I entered from the email, and of course this code was accepted! You then sent me codes for most of the Stardock products I own, which makes me think this is problem that hasn't been solved in the last 5 years.

I find it every annoying!

I would rather not have the annoyance again at all, than to have an easy way to deal with the annoyance faster if it happens again, which your reply implies, with the greatest respect. So I do see it as a good answer for a problem that has existed for nearly 5 years!

ONe wasy this can happen if you have run into max activations and were prompted to deactivate all PCs.  The other, still active PCs, would request reactivation.  If you are perpetually over the limit (5), the cycle will continue.

The other way is if you change your PC hardware enough that the PC looks different to us - it looks a like a new PC.  It will then wasnt to reactivate.

The first does not appear to be the case for you.

Should it happen again, just follow this process:
