Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try the purge and reinstall steps https://forums.stardock.com/485903/windowfx-support-faq#reinstalling

Just make sure to re-download the latest version from your account. Reboot after reinstall, retest and report back here.

Thanks

Okay, that is insider preview build. So I am not too sure what is going on. I have forwarded your problem to Stardock Support team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

If you are on 18922 then that's an insider build.  18362.175 is the release build.

We do not offer formal support on insider builds of Windows.

That said I have checked and can confirm that the insider build does not like WindowFX.  This may well be a short term issue that's resolved in future Insider builds as that's the risk with the insider builds.

With all do respect paid for software should be updated to work with any form of build (released, fast.slow, etc)  if not then discontinue the software. Thanks for responding.

Unfortunately Microsoft's prerelease software often has 'undocumented features' (AKA bugs) which isn't unexpected with prerelease software.  This means they often break stuff by mistake and then a few builds later fix it.  We experienced this with Stardock Fences which got broken, fixed, broken and then fixed in alternating builds.

You are asking us to debug issues which may well exist due to a bug in the OS which gets fixed in two weeks time when Microsoft update it.  This simply isn't economically sensible.

This is why Software developers generally only officially support released (AKA supported by Microsoft) releases.

If Microsoft will not support those builds then neither will we.

This is one of the risks you take when entering into the insider program and why it is not intended for general consumers.

Point taken. Guess I'll be leaving insider. Stardock is a a good company with good software. Thanks
