WindowBlinds 10.81 released

Fixes issues with Windows 10 1903 release

We have released WindowBlinds 10.81 to address the following issues with the Windows 10 1903 release:

  • Some WindowBlinds stock skins did not paint the time on the taskbar correctly
  • Taskbar app icons were not shaded properly
  • Taskbar app icon hover did not show the app preview popup

While the app should soon prompt to update, you can manually get the update from the following links:

Clients with an account:
https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products

Guest checkout clients:

Thanks to all that helped find the issues and report them.

I'm using Diamond theme, can't you see the thumbnail preview is win10 stock/default?

If you mean, now the thumbnail preview no longer skin, yes we knew. MS change something that make WB no longer be able to skin that.

Thank you,

Clock is fixed just no buttons on the taskbar

Taskbar buttons look okay on mine. You on WB10.81? If you do and still have that problem. Please try the purge and reinstall steps : https://forums.stardock.com/486023/windowblinds-support-faq#reinstalling

Just make sure to get the latest version again. Install that, reboot and retest it.

Thank you,

The thumbnail previews are no longer skinned in Windowblinds, Microsoft forced that to happen. :-(

That sucks, pretty soon, there won't be a need to skin, at the pace Microshit is going...

I am afraid there were simply too many complaints about the media buttons on tab previews to justify any further effort on those especially after the latest Windows OS update caused further problems.

There is no point spending huge amounts of time and achieving a non optimal result that's not going to please anyone or be compatible with the skins out there.

Agreed, but surely there must be something your WB Coding Wizardry can come up with to make it more interesting to Create, and use WindowBlinds... Add-on apps like Start 10 is integrating with WindowBlinds... -Pleeeaaase look into that Neil :pout:  :pout:  :pout:

In Windows 10 1903 and up the taskbar popups will no longer skin so your issue will go away.

Happy to read this... "developers" at last eased their lives...

And how about this?

Maybe you better exclude preview popup from skinning too?
