Star Control: Origins v1.32 (Released 5/8)

Hey folks,

Welcome to Star Control: Origins v1.32!

We are happy to release "The Lexites" -- part 2 of the Star Control: Origin's "Earth Rising" expansion.  Humanity continues its expansion in the Epsilon Trireme system and encounters the Lexites, the Post-Humans who left Earth decades earlier.  The Lexites appear to desire to impede humanity's expansion but there is more than meets the eye!

Read more about "Earth Rising" and "The Lexites" here:

We've also polished up Part 1 and introduced some balance changes for the base game. Please read below for information.

Change Log

  • Earth Rising Part 2  - hours of new adventures, new ships, new aliens and new weapons, the second part of Earth Rising fills out the bustling universe of Star Control further.
  • Earth Rising: Part 1  dialog to clarify the story and fix typos
  • Improved Lander handling so that it feels less bouncy
  • Reduced duration of Ink Blob to 15
  • Reduced duration of the Tywom Turret to 10

Hi,

I updated to v1.32.61284 today.
I have already completed the game and part one.
When I loaded my saved game, I was unable to find new content.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Cool, at least you have part one. I don't see even part one for some reason (bought the DLC, don't see the option to add it to the game, unlike the other two DLCs).

It just updates the Earth Rising DLC.

Which, for me, doesn't even showing up in the game's list of DLCs after I bought it (but Multiverse and Reinforcements do show up normally).

I would like to update that the issue was that I did not have a conversation with the observers informing me that there is a problem I need to think about (thus concluding chapter 1).

Following this conversation, the new content presented itself.

I wonder why it took the observer so long to find me...

BTW, the new patch introduced an issue with hyper space: the smeared solar system effect slowly vanishes and then reappears.
It looks like there is too long a pause between animation loop iterations.

Thanks!

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

I talked with another SD person (Yarlen) here and he said he answered you in a another post of yours.  Do hope it is now resolved for you.
