Explorer Folder Bar Background - Color not applying

OS build 17763.475

WindowsBlind10 version 10.74.

After this update which was installed on 2019-May-2nd, the new colour is no longer being applied for the Explorer Folder Bar Background with WindowsBlind10 version 10.74.

Please look into this as soon as possible and update the community on what's happening.

The pending WB update should resolve this issue.  For reasons beyond me, explorer now double paints those areas, firstly with the colour from the theme and then with COLOR_WINDOW.  Obviously this isn't ideal for skins that opted not to use that value for explorer backgrounds.

Yes I have WB-10.8... NO chance to believers. BUG is present. As the other one (taskbar preview control buttons) which is more then year age... Stardock makes me 'happy' with latest versions...

Is your theme using the specific explorer colours as the issue really is fixed in 10.8.

I should also point out the bug was solely the fault of Microsoft who incorrectly painted a white section over the correct colour.

ALL themes made by myself has a specific colors. But only after WB-update this glitch appeared. MOST strange is a fact that in color settings section of WB-menu the folder bar color signed and viewed according wb-theme. Nevertheless while opening explorer it's WHITE. And, sorry to say, Microsoft is aside of this problem.

The issue in this thread relates to a problem caused by a Microsoft Windows update.

If your issue was caused by the WB update then we would need additional details on this.  Impacted theme, screenshots, version of Windows.

If you use Windowblinds settings and pick colours, and set the explorer colours under system colours to any colour other than white does it help?

Skins made before those color settings were added to SkinStudio still have this issue unless you set those colors. I have many skins with this issue that I am updating over time.

To tell you the truth Neil, I have no idea, but whatever I did it was working.  I think I was setting the Window background color to be the same, or just using a white background overall. But setting the Window background color screwed up a few apps, like MS Office, NotePad, etc. So now I am slowly fixing them all.

Initially on Win10  it was using the color set in Explorer Parts/..../Command bar/Folders bar [Extra settings]tab Background color.  Can't say for sure you were using it, otherwise it was using Window Color, but it would be a good bet.

I can attest that this bug has been fixed, but as Lightstar said, skins made before the fix still have the issue, new ones do not.

 

Don5813 has been "fixing" his for a long time now. None of his were white, and still aren't.

If this isn’t fixed so ”Foldersbar”Background color reacts to this setting for any windowblinds Updates the so called ”fix” is Moot/useless as then all Blinds needs to be manually updated.

Link is unavaliable... Renewed with update.

In my account I can see only OLD my purchases: WB7, WB8, SkSt7,SkSt8...

History/Software parts of account are totally obsolete, misunderstanding and non-inormated...

I'm even afraid to refresh my package because I can't see SkinStudio 10 in any package, and no clear info about package content.
