How To Fix Blurred Glass Transparency In Windows 10.

All "glass" parts of SM and the title bar on frames in "extra settings" set background blur to semi trans.  All my glass is transparent, no blur.

Open the skin in SkinStudio and change all the transparent parts to semi transparent, instead of blur, under the extra settings tab, save the skin, and you should have nice transparency everywhere it is meant to be.

 

 

 

I hope this helps those with blur issues on Windows 10. 

 

NOTE:   This may have an adverse effect on any skinner created animations, but it will also allow WinFX animations to work on the Start 10 start menu,  Start menus with blur will ignore WindowFX animations. According to Neil.

Ross, only the skins that you have the blur issue with.  Or the WinFX issue.  At least until there is a fix.

It's not actually a bug, so there may be no fix.  Blur is something that the skinner either uses or doesn't use.  If you have the issue, this is the fix.

Apparently you must make choices.  If you want WinFX to animate the start menu, remove blur. If you want the skinner's animations to work on the start menu, keep blur, suffer WinFX not working on said start menu. If you want clear glass, lose blur.  Choices.  Apparently we can't have all 3.

Don't know about Geniuses, it's a learning curve for me, beings that I've not really done a "transparent" skin in detail, but, I know what needs to be done, for my next transparent skin. :grin:
