The Artificial Gravity Lab

Us space and sci-fi geeks have been aware of this kind of thing for awhile most likely but it's rare to see it, let alone getting to go experience it, in the real world.

Personally, I feel as though one of the best ways for us to colonise the solar system is by building O'Neill Cylinders. They "generated gravity" in the same way by spinning.

Using centrifugal force to pin a person/object to a surface perpendicular to the ground like a wall. Similar to rides you'd find at an amusement park. The spinning torus on the 'vintage' sci-fi space stations provided the artificial gravity. If you go to youtube and look under Isaac Arthur    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXL2Hd_dOzw

Its a good place to start.

I am familiar with that channel. Although I've known about O'Neill Cylinders for far longer.

The O'Neill Cylinder by Isaac Arthur was the one I was looking for. I've been into this stuff since the late fifties/early sixties. I grew up with Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clark among others. Brings back a lot of memories.
