Object Desktop Manager Does Not Show Subscriptions

Purchased the Object Desktop suite.  Have downloaded and installed several of the apps.   When I log in to Object Desktop Manager (successfully) it does not show any subscriptions/apps.

This is REALLY getting old – when I click on your below link it opens a window asking for email but does not accept any input.   Tried this is both Chrome and Edge.  Also, when I originally tried to submit a ticket, I filled out your website form only to find it requires a Captcha entry where no Captcha image is presented.   Also tried this multiple times.   Your service is AWFUL.   Your website engineering is also AWFUL.  Will not purchase again.   Meanwhile – I have bought the Object Desktop and one of the apps I PURCHASED is the Desktop Manager which shows nothing.   Don’t want an alternate link – what does it take to make my purchased app work?

Please consider this a strong request for escalation to a supervisor.

VERY unsatisfied customer.

Hi - probably the wrong place for this, but I am confused by 'subscriptions'. Am I to assume that I will continue to pay for Object Desktop annually? I only ask because the word 'subscription' usually implies repeated payments.

Yes , Object Desktop is a yearly renewal usually offered at a discount price.

What email address did you use to make your purchase ?

Looks like to tried to merge accounts but not the right ones.

So I need you to PM me your Object Desktop Serial # so we can verify it's you

and get this issue fixed.

Please PM ( Private Message ) it to me don't post in the forum and I'll get it to support

so they can look up your account to help you .

 Hello,

If you buy the app as a stand alone then you own that version for life.

Just keep your installation files to keep reusing it.

If it upgrades to a new version then you would have to buy it again.

Object Desktop includes all the upgrades as long as your current with

your subscription and includes many apps. The renewals are offered

at a discount price.

So to move forward I still need you to PM me your OD serial #.

What is meant by a subscription service is that when you purchase ObjectDesktop you will get access to updates and betas for included software for one year.

The software apps are yours to keep and use for as long as you like. If you let your subscription lapse you will not get any updates.

Be sure to backup the apps as that will be the only way to install them should you need to.

Previous ObjectDesktop purchasers receive a discounted price for renewal of subscription service.

For ankirk -

It's not intuitively obvious, on first purchasing an Object Desktop (OD) subscription, what the role of the included Object Desktop Manager (ODM) is.  It's quite understandable to think from its name that it is an essential component without which nothing can be installed.  That, however, is not the case.  It is provided as a tool for managing the various apps included in the subscription but provides no desktop enhancement function of any kind itself and it does not need to be installed for any of the individual enhancement apps to be installed or function.  When it works, it's straightforward and serves as a convenient way to manage the apps.

For reasons unknown to me but apparently system-specific, ODM occasionally fails to work as intended.  I've installed it a couple of times on a couple of rigs & it has failed in some fashion or other to do what it's intended to do.  This has been the experience of a sizable number of  subscribers based on threads on this topic over the years.

When/if it doesn't work, the simplest thing is to use your store.stardock.com/myaccount page, which is registered to the email address you used to make your purchase (see AzDude Reply #1).  All of the individual OD app installers are available for download there (I suggest you download all that you think you might ever consider using & saving them in a local folder) for as long as your subscription is active.  Should your subscription lapse, the downloaded installers will still work using the original credentials but any that you chose not to download will no longer be available for download.

I strongly recommend using the store.stardock.com/myaccount page to download & archive all your preferred apps, even if ODM is working perfectly.

Hope you enjoy the suite.

Alex,

If you still have questions, please create another thread to solve them.

Ankirk,

You have two accounts:

**@******patrick.net
**@******patrick.com

Neither have a purchase under them.

Using this link, create a ticket (you dont need to log it, just fill out the form) with the following data:

https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit

-Exact date of the purchase
-last 4 digits of the card used or PayPal transaction ID.

With it, I will be able to find out under what other email address the order was purchased under.

I've changed my email account to reflect the one my Paypal account used to make payment but I have not received a validation email since inputting the new email address.   How long does it take for the validation email to come through?
