Still possible to buy the original version of this game?

Hi,

I bought this game when it first came out and loved it. However there came an update (2.8?) where the AI got a lot harder and now the games is 'different' than the one I bought and enjoyed.

Unfortunately I also had the same problem with STEAM's "Sins of a solar empire" but I did already have that game on original stardock version so i'm happy playing that instead of the steam version.

I've found GalCiv3 on GOG, but it doesn't say what version that is so I don't want to buy it blind.

is there any way I can still get original GalCiv3 from anywhere?

Have you tried the Classic version? In Steam goto GC3 properties, Beta tab and select - galcivclassic version 2.33

There is also a free version of GC3 included with Discord's Nitro, I am not sure which patch version this is.
