Rolled Up Fences

Stay On Top

It would be great if rolled up fences when they rolled down would be on top of all other windows on the desktop.  I have about a dozen rolled up fences near the top of my screen that I use as a sort of pull down menu system, when the fences roll down behind windows I have to move the windows and then re-roll down the fence to get to the icons which kind of defeats the purpose.

Its is known that Fences work on desktop level and it can't appear on top of another windows

However, I have forwarded your request to the Stardock support team for their review and recommendations. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We really do appreciate your feedback, Thanks.

That's a cool way to use Fences!

This has been a requested feature as long as there have been Roll-Up Fences. Is there EVER going to be a fix for this? I have to move four or five windows out of the way in order to see my choices and it is a P.I.T.A.

Understood but if there is a way to make this work it would be really useful.    Having the fence roll up underneath windows is really limiting.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Have you tried Fences 4 peek functions?

Thanks

Could you please elaborate, please be more specific.  I have no idea what "peek functions" refers to.

Maybe specify a URL?

If you look into Fences 4 new features. One of them is "Peek" function.

I watched the video.  I have never used a version of fences prior to 4,  so 4 is my first version.   I still have no idea how to use this "peek" function.  Maybe provide information about what dialog/menu/option I need to change.

Please read the original post again .  It has nothing to do with hotkeys.

The request is for a fence (when it automatically unrolls on mouse input) to unroll on top of open window.

I don't think that it possible, you still need something to make the Fences forward. In this case hotkeys.

I understand it is currently not possible.  I acknowledged this in comment 6.

People appear to be asking for it to be considered as a future feature.  I was adding myself to those requesting this.

Thank you
