iObit updates - ASC v12 and Uninstaller v8

gettin' funky wit it...lol

Just updated ASC to version 12 and IObit's Uninstaller to version 8. They've been busy. Second screenshot shows the new GUI with the animation and the first I didn't believe until I saw it. With Uninstaller v8 you can now uninstall the program by right clicking on the desktop icon, systray icon and another I don't remember lol.

Why are you so keen about this company?? It's from China and I thought Stardock affiliated ones are good enough,no??    Ah,I checked around,it seems personally you did prefer software from China more. Oh,well.............

To be honest, you don't need any of software from that company,it's for fool-proof,its statistics are so unreliable and incorrect compared with those alternative ones are much safer and simple.

Because it works. Five star rating, ranks #1 in its class.

So not true or else I wouldn't have been using it since version 3. Respect

I don't discriminate either,I just don't trust this company and the other one (wisecleaner),about few years ago,a member in here having a commercial pop-ups was due to iObit's partners "error".

To be honest, I don't know that IObit products are any worse than others doing the same things. Just because it is Chinese doesn't make it bad.   I used Advanced System Care and other IObit software for years and never had an issue.  I'm currently using Wise Care 360, which is also quite good, but not because IObit software presented me with any issues.  I just liked Wise Care 360 and thought I'd give the licensed version a try.  Thus far it has performed as advertised and hasn't caused me any concerns.

Yes, Gaspershooters, Ashampoo's system tuneup program is also good.  I have used that also and had no issues.  I may even go back to it at some stage, but right now, Wise Care 360 is my preference.

The thing is that I have read some information regarding IObit, just googled it,the founder was sued by Malwarebytes at few years back hence it cannot do business 'directly" in USA., if you know what's that meant, all of glorified claims in its sites are all bogus and unsubstantiated,I certainly not going to encourage a company installed its software, let alone pay for it. I am better than that. I don't need repeat on Wise's parts.

Educated yourself well, you don't need any of software from this kind of fancy system enhanced software,it's simply just for the noobs who are lazy or don't know how to optimize their system in professional way. But if you must, please choose the endorsed ones by reputable company, like Stardock. :wc:

Gaspershooters, I don't know what your problem is but I simply cannot be bothered with it henceforth.

I know what I'm happy with and that's all that matters.

Old news dude. I had that happen to me twice.....last year. That's why I got rid of MalwareBytes. It would forcefully remove the program rendering it useless and I'm not the only one that happened to. There was an article about Mbam 3.0 that didn't sit well with some folks. And since I have Wise and have run it several times since it has never flagged iObit, not even once. Crash and burn...

Oh,so that's the truth that MalwareBytes did flag IObit as "potentially Unwanted Programs",hum?? Thanks for confirmation. XD

I use a Ruskie Antivirus, and these Chinese proggies from IObit... both without any fuss OR trepidation.....just as I use proggies from the USA ....no prejudice from me at all....and I'm not from any of those countries.

Besides, most of my computer[s] came from China in the first place.

Why should one source be trusted over another?  Arseholes know no borders...;)

You missed the whole point by a considerable margin. Before version 3.0 (which offers no real time protection, the free version, as opposed to Commodo which does and it is a free version) I used Mbam exclusively but when it started taking out other programs even after being excluded and Mabam admitted such) I got rid of it and never looked back. Like starkers said. I'm happy with what I got. If people don't like it, whose problem is that? Not mine.

I am just offered my opinions from what I know, you can disagree me whatsoever, that's why I didn't reply after #4. You're happy what you have,Starkers is happy what he has which he clearly stated in #7. I thought we are giving each other points of view until someone chimed in with unbecoming name-calling which not a surprise for me considering that's how thing he does for over those years.

Lets continue discussing the pros and cons of this stuff. My Op was just to illustrate a revamped GUI because it intrigued me. Not everything works for everybody, everybody goes with what works for them. Perfect example...Win 10...its an on again off again work in progress that happens only sometimes. Same goes for A/V products. Eye candy has a tendency to draw people towards it. They'll pick up on what looks good to them rather than all the vanilla that's out there. So lets keep it to that shall we. Somewhere in there there's a good joke. I'm sure somebody will find it.

Thanks for the OP Uvah.  I do enjoy reading about such things.
