Can we please have an Even Civilization Placement option..

..as the title says. Id be quite happy with a specific pattern spread. 1 Center x number tiles away,1 at each point of the hex and keep expanding for larger map sizes etc. Or something....anything thats not the current groupy RNG *beep*.

Tried 3 or 4 times to get back into this game over the last month or so and this map placement just make me rage quit after 5-7 reloads. (And yes I am well under the recommended civ count for the map or maps I choose)

Yes pl0x. Even on evenly spread galaxies like scattered, loose (which is a lot like scattered anyway), or spiral, the spacing is random no matter how much you play with the tall and wide values in the xml. Sometimes, they will be decently spread out, but more often than not, you will have one or two (or half of them) close together in one cluster.

 

Starting positions makes a HUGE difference in this game, and for the AI, it literally makes or breaks them.

This has really been killing my enjoyment trying to start a new game the few times I havent been in intense pain lately.
