Radiant Angel Stuck - ***Spoilers***

Loving this game, did some exploring into the Llvoren cluster, and found a species called Radiant Angels, who attacked me with some epic ships.

Went back to the Llvoren station and the Tywom there gave me a translator, which meant I could talk to them, and they said they are looking for their Clavis Aurea (golden key). I found 7 devices on the planets in that cluster which were golden transmitters, and after visiting all 7, they unlocked an 8th building which I went into and found a Singularity gun for my starship.

Awesome, but then when speaking to the Angels, they ask me if I have found their key and all I can say is no. Is there something I'm missing here? Spent about an hour scouring further around the worlds there for something but came up empty. Seems a weird coincidence there was 7 keys to a vault, but they either weren't triggering the conversation or they weren't the right keys.

Anyone found anything further or is it a bug? They don't show up in the codex or mission log at all

The quest for the Singularity Launcher is given by a Tywom vesser near the Precursor starbase in the Llorven cluster. I believe it has nothing to do with Clavis Aurea.

P.S. Epic ships?!! Have you seen Harmony Battlecruisers?

I have seen some hints that the two locations the Tywom tells you about are linked, and maybe the space monster in the Lynx systems has something to do with the Radiant Angels in the Llvoren cluster.  Haven't verified it myself yet though.

Yes, I have seen the Harmony, Inamorata and the other contest winner. The designers have taken a couple liberties with them, but they are in there and fun to see. (And mean!!)

I am going to start working on the missed subquests tonight.

Looking through the dialog files for the Radiant Angels, I don't think you can find the Clavis Aurea.  However, visit the Zeta Lynx system and kill a particular something there to at least get some additional dialog from them.

There's also a planet in one of the Lynx systems where you can find a crashed Radiant Angel and aide him, but at least with the dialog options I chose it didn't give any more clues about the Clavis Aurea.

As far as I can tell the Harmony Battle-Cruisers are the equivalent of the Slylandro Probes in SC2 or the Daktaklakpak in SC3.   Some malfunctioning A.I trying to make a connection with the Hex packet transmission being some handshake protocol.

I check the Gas Giants periodically just in case.

Having applied some reasonable decipherment techniques to this conversation and gotten nothing, I just checked the data files. As I have expected, there are no other interaction options with the Harmony. So, I guess, they're just mobs.

But I did expect something like Slylandro puzzle. Unfortunately, Origins seem completely dumb and straightforward with no space for thinking as with the Deep Child or the Slylandro coordinate system as in Star Control II. Seems even simpler than Star Control III. We're just flying around according to the journal.

P.S. I find exploring the galaxy through data files (they're in XML!!!) more enjoyable that exploring it in-game.

Hopefully in a later DLC / update they will include some deeper quests which involve the races that are currently considered to be mobs.  Especially since i want some of those ships / weapons.

I suppose one way to do that is if ship to ship battles always resulted in crashed ships in the planets of a solar system with those in hyperspace affecting which ever star system was closest.

The Radiant Angel is a nice ship to have, unfortunately the one ship you can get to join your fleet can't replenish its crew because you don't have an alliance with them.   Once its hits points are gone, so is the ship.   There is the same issue with the Brother of the refugee you help out.    Maybe these ships could be configured internally so that humans can be crew ?

One weird example of this is the Precursor Probe.  When we find it on a planet, it has no alien crew so when we make it fly again it has to be human crew, however going back to the Star Control Starbase does not replenish its crew complement, the ship stays injured so to speak.  So I'd have to consider this a bug.

This notion that only the species of the ship can crew that ship is a Star Control notion that is very different from Star Trek.  I can understand for Pinthi or Greegox, and the Mukay, but some species must be close enough in physiology that humans could crew it.   In SC2 a human piloted a Precursor vessel.   The Ur Quan piloted the Sa-Matra which was also a precursor vessel.
