Last hint I got was that they headed towards the "inner spur" from a lexite ruin (gives you a new nuclear weapon...) (not the one on the moon...)
I imagine Im suppose to find someone I can eventually ask about this but ive yet to come across anyone. Whats the next step?
Where would one even find those guys? There's nothing about them in either the map or the log.
I have met them. And although I have already completed the "Follow the trail of the Lexites" quest, no relevant dialogue comes up with them.
Usually around giant stars, like Vega.

I recall being able to buy some information about the Lexites from them.
Also try these places:
P3X-781 in the Proxima Centauri system.
82. G Eridani II
Yalos in the Rasalhague A system
Epsilon Mus II
Eta Llvoren system
I didn't find any energy signatures on Yalos. Found the Lexite base on Epsilon Mus II, and it did mention them trading information with an alien race, however, there is still no dialogue with the Maelnir about trading information. I guess someone else has to tell me about that?
Right. Next problem. I've already been to the Eta Llvoren system before I got to the earlier crumbs in the trail, and having already checked the ruins, I have no clue where else to go.
What I did was: I already activated the beacon on Llvoren I, apparently. And already checked out the 2 ruins in that system (on Pyst and Llvoren II). Any direct hints on what should've happened after that? My objective is literally stating that I need to be in this system now to figure out what the Lexites were up to here but there's nothing else to be found.
I think I messed up the order and broke the quest.
Additionally, I apparently screwed up in the hunt by not checking a single planet out of like 20 celestial bodies in Proxima Centauri. That's just bad design. :C
