Star Map Features

I'd like to request some features on the star map.

Ability to add notes to stars.

Filter to show if a star has been visited or not.

On visited stars, show a little summary of what's in there. I.E. Mineral count, objects on surface, etc.

I remember when playing the original SCII, I printed out the map and had a bunch on notes on the map :)

Is there a place I can find a printable version of the current map? found this: https://imgur.com/YSkaRyy

I don't see these currently if available.

Thanks.

Okay, I spoke a little too soon. Have not played very long when I posted the above.

There is a neat map logging tool. Though I do think it could add some features.

- Different icons and colors. (Resource icon, Alien home/colony icon, Artifact icon. etc.)

- Overlay to show stars visited vs not.

- If you hover over an explored system, it will summarize what is inside. (So if you scanned several plants, it will summarize the remaining resources on those planets at the galactic view.)

- Also, when in a system, have the option to right click on a planet/moon and add a comment. When you're in a system, planets/moons will have a little flag on them if you added a comment, if you hover over the planet/moon it will show you the comment. Basically the galactic map notes version, but on the solar system level.

Loving the game :)

It would also be nice to know if you have visited a planet or not.

I just want an easy log of way points especially those of home worlds.  I like that you can use the captains log to auto travel to way points but it is a jumbled mess when it comes to finding specific home worlds or other way points.

Yeah, I'm surprised there is not a Mediapedia of discovered races and coordinates of their discovered home worlds, or colonies. Of if they told you here their home world is.

I like the idea of a starmap / world notation system blended with a way point / Favorites list.

There is a codex that you can access...but it doesn't update itself. It only shows the Tywom and I think the Scryve; at least one other alien species, anyway.

I was looking forward to browsing through it, but when I saw it not updating as I found new aliens, I was like, "Well, that seems a bit of a tease, doesn't it."

This covers my biggest (And probably only) gripe with the game. We are flying around in hyperspace, aboard a freakin space vessel. Which doesn't appear to have any exploration logging systems. I'd really appreciate the game automatically remembering where I have visited without me needing to spam blank markers for every system I have explored.

On a system level it would similarly be lovely if there was a marker which indicated which planets you have already scanned so I don't have to remember which planets I've been to so far (Less of an issue in small systems ^^) or to potentially waste large amounts of fuel by exploring the system according to the orbits, from inside-outwards. A fair amount of the time this involves flying back and forth across the system.

Adding in a sector map tooltip showing what resources remain would also be a big step to making life easier on all captains out there.
