Start Game and Load Game Switch

Started playing after taking a break. Boot up game. (using controller) try skipping cutscene and accidentally hit New Game. There is no confirmation for this so it starts immediately. I had to wait several minutes for my toaster to load before I could get to the load game screen.

Recommendation is to switch the positions of the load game and new game buttons, or have the default selection be the load game button for those of us on controllers. Alternatively having a confirmation box to confirm you want to start a new game would also work.

Thanks!

Personally I'd go the route of making the first button, and default, a "continue game",

Agreed, I did this on accident as well when trying to set up a local mulitplayer fleet battle.  Once you learn to avoid it, it is fine, but for new users they'll do it once I'm sure.

This still gets me every time. It's so annoying. It wouldn't be quite as annoying if you could just escape out of the new game, but you have to go through all the dialog before you can do that. Makes me want to throw my monitor against the wall heh.

There are lots of places in the game you can't just immediately pause, and this gets very aggravating. We're not all 12 years old with limitless amounts of time on our hands :).

I agree that it would be nice to have a unified / universal way to "pause" the action.  It seems that with an XBox 360 controller, the "Y" button seems to suffice "most" of the time.

Where are you having issues pausing?  Are you using a controller for your primary input?

They might be referring to things like on planets, escape stop beings "pause / open menu" and becomes "leave planet". It's quite aggravating, don't know if the controller is different.

I agree that situation is frustrating.  I've encountered it myself.  I do think that the "Y" button will pause the action there.  I could be mistaken.  It would be nice to have a universal pause button though.
