Lander jump doesnt work

It says in the control menu that for the lander you press space or the A button on a gamepad to jump. I land on a planet, press space, and nothing happens. I tried remapping it to another key and still nothing. I also tried playing with a gamepad and still nothing when I press the A button. What am I doing wrong?

Do you have the module required to do it?

I didnt think it required a module, when I played the Beta, you could just jump, did they change it to require a module?

I assume so, never played it before but I've seen an "anti gravity" module for the lander that says something about jumping. Haven't used it yet but would seem to be the case.

I landed on the Moon, and was able to jump using the spacebar.  Haven't tried a controller yet (I grew up on SC2, so keyboard feels natural to me).  No extra module was needed.

I did notice that you can't remap the ESC key, which is weird.  I wanted to move it to the tilde ~ key since it's easier to hit without lifting your hand off of the keyboard (great for hostile planets in SC2 original).

Yes, they added  module to unlock jumping a few versions ago.
