help to install sins of the fallen (on gog version)

Hello,

I tried to install sins of the fallen on my gog version of sins : rebelion ultimate edition and it doesn't work correctly...

I downloaded the mod "Sins of the Fallen: Reb 1.91.50 (Baked)" (I chosed this one because of its simplicity compared to the other file) and "SinsModManager v3" on moddb but the link the tutorial "How to install mods for Sins of a Solar Empire" is broken so I've done this.. :

I have uncompressed the archive "SotF.Baked.Reb.1.91.50" on the "Mods-Rebellion v1.85" directory, launched the game and activated the mod but I obtained a game screen on witch I can't clic anywhere... (I also tried to use sinsmodmanager v3 but didn't find the correct icon to install properly the downloaded mod..., so I just use it to restore original version of sins after a missed attempt)

If anyone could give me an advice it would be appreciated :)

Check your game version. I'm not sure what version GoG is on, but Sins recently updated to version 1.92 and it changed the main menu, which caused this issue for all mods that made custom menus.

There's a few things you can do.

  • Make sure Sins of the Fallen has not been updated. Most active mods have already updated to fix the menus, though I'm honestly not sure how active ZombiesRus is anymore.
  • Use tab/enter to get past the first screen.
  • On steam the devs put up an option to revert back to Sins version 1.91 for mods via the Steam betas feature. I'm not sure if GoG has an equivalent. Still only viable for single player.

My gog version of sins is updated to 1.921 so maybe the mod I use has not been updated to fix the problem. (this mod was release on Feb 6 2018..)

I've been able to launch a single player game by using "enter" to get past the first screen indeed.

If I click two times on "tab" then "enter" I have the multiplayer menu (haven't tried to launch a game but I got the menu^^).

I don't know if I can make a rollback of version with gog, anyway, I think I will wait for a mod update or just play original game or try local multiplayer with a friend later :)

PS : on sinsmodmanager v3, I found the right icon to configure sins of the fallen, 3rd line, first icon^^.
