Can Yor Planets be Culture Flipped?

Since Yor planets are pretty much always at 100 percent approval, I wasn't sure if they can be culture flipped. The Yor just colonized a planet I want in a game I am playing. I have a constructor near by the planet, and was wondering if it is worth while to try and build the influence starbase. Or would this be a waste of time because Yor planets are immune to culture flipping? The Yor just colonized the planet so my influence star base would be up before the planet has much time to develop. Thanks for the advice!

In the game I'm currently playing, I flipped a Yor planet when they settled it deep in my area of influence.  I didn't have to do anything except wait for it to flip.  Since it had only one population and my influence was already high, it flipped in one turn.  I'm not going to promise using the starbase will work for you, but I think it will, so I think it is worth trying.

it is resistance, not approval, which blocks flipping.  Yor planets can be flipped.

there is also an ideology pick (using GRM, do not recall if it is also in standard) which makes a civ's planets immune to flipping.  This could also be the case.

This is in vanilla but IIRC it is under Benevolent or Neutral so Yor (Malevolent) doesn't pick it.

Actually, Immune to Culture Flipping is a Malevolent Ideology. it is the fifth trait in the last series for Malevolent. As long as a faction does not have that trait or a colony does not have too high of a resistance, you can culture flip it.

I'm laughing as I image how resistance works in mitigating culture flipping.

Sees ads for average family home in US, "propaganda" is the response from the North Koreans. "Potemkin village" from the soviet union, etc.

Tries to sell french bikinis and racy movies to Texans- "y'all ain't from around here, we don't go much for that"

It's a realistic mechanism and I didn't realize the game had it.

Now what builds resistance on a planet besides the academy?

Preparedness Center from the Neutral Ideology. Those two are all you really need anyway since you cannot exceed 100% Resistance....even though you can go over 100% Planetary Defense for some reason.

the Garrison (Slaver specific) also provides resistance
