Thought I knew what I was doing

600 hours and I know nothing

Just came back to this game after a couple of years not playing. I have a class 22 planet and I thought I'd turn it into a big money maker by making it my economic capital and filling it with banks. Economic buildings. I've built about 7 of them so far and I looked and am not making much money at all. Maybe each bank adds 15% but 15% of what? From the look of my income, 34 bc, the base income of this planet must be tiny. I'm still doing pretty good because I have so many colonies of Torians (22). I don't see why the base income of the planet isn't prominently displayed if that's the number that all future numbers will be based on. It's like the game wants me bamboozled by the complexity into making foolish choices that don't make much sense.

If I were to choose my economic capital again, what number would I look for. A big planet would probably be good but it has to have a decent economic base, right?

Sincerely,

Hello gamer, you also need to sustain a high population on a money-making planet. I'd set out for 15b people initially, but don't get too overexcited with banks - try to get a better building (Stock Markets). Such a money maker planet will usually be able to support 4-5 production planets, not more. You also need to have taxes and racial economic stats high. A lot of ingame stats are simply multiplied against each other - in other words, in the first or middle phase of the game money making planets aren't very effective. Still, money is usually very crucial in the initial phases so you wanna be as conservative with it as possible. Hope this helps you a bit my friend. Greetings
