I went to "Steam" to activate my Star Control Key - "Steam" gave me an error message

that my operating system was not compatible and would not allow the activation.

The only thing I found was "Star Control" is 64 bit and all my desk top computers

are 32 bit. Most Laptops are 64 bit. I need a 32 bit version of "Star Control"

"Steam" needs a 32 bit version of "Star Control" or we need a "Patch" which

will allow "Star Control" to run on 32 bit machines. - JLH

The system requirements are on the Steam store page. 64-bit systems will be required.

The game uses a 64 bit engine and 64 bit software calls and processes.     This is not something that they can simply change with a patch.


What you are asking for is similar to if you called up Tesla Motors to ask them to put an internal combustion Engine in their new model car.

...you either need to seriously update your PC or at least your OS, jbuck.  32 bit is being phased out by and large.  It has a maximum RAM cap that is quite low (4 gigs, I believe).
