What are we talking about, here? Win/loss record? Hit/miss record? Number of shots/hits required for a kill for each ship vs each other ship? Average length of battle?
Those kinds of stats? Or something else?
I'd like some sort of "lucky escape" counter.
Yes, exactly those type of stats. But It also good to hear those fun stats like the "Lucky Escape" counter Schism suggested. Not sure if we can do that one but hey, you never know.
Mileage - 'space miles' flown during a fight
Fender Benders - number of times you run into the other ship
Possibly other than counters themselves - badges or rankings based on reaching a threshold of a counter and give it to any of your captains that battled, with a suitable SC themed badge name.
Learner pilot - number of asteroids you run in to
Death dealer - highest number of kills
Untouchable - no damage taken
Miser - defeat an opponent and never let your battery hit zero
Intimacy - success rate/preference for hugging/spiking/physical contact weapons
Standoffishness - rate/preference for long range/distance weapons
Fuhgeddaboudit - rate/preference for automated/fire-and-forget weapons
Belt Runner - percentage of time spent in the asteroid field
Pinball - high rate of black hole utilization
Homogenization - tendency to spam only one type of ship
Natural selection - times killed by environmental hazards
How about a win/loss category comparing battles between custom ships vs custom ships, pre-packaged ships vs pre-packaged ships, and custom vs pre-packaged.
I don't know if these need badges (maybe someone can think of good ones), but I have encountered all of these in battles against the AI.
How many times you have lost a battle because you were destroyed by running into an asteroid.
How many times you have won a battle because your opponent was destroyed by running into an asteroid.
How many times the battle ended with both ships being destroyed.
