What is required for Intrigue?

Simple question, I hope ...

A friend & I are playing multiplayer coop and having lots of crashes to desktop.  Today we've finally uninstalled (cleaned up all folders and files) and did a clean reinstall.  Hopefully this question will be moot. <fingers crossed>

But ... Do you need Mercenaries and Crusade loaded along with the Intrigue Expansion?  Or does it already include all of that code?
